Unable to locate a suitable supplier within the Netherlands and then mainland Europe, Essent Energy approached Firefly as they required a renewable energy solution to power a large interactive exhibition.
Quickly deciding that the Firefly ‘Fold Array’ was ideal for this project, Firefly set to work on designing a sustainable power distribution system that combined: three of the Orion series of generators with a number of the aforementioned ‘Fold Arrays’. The Fold Arrays were adapted to be roof mounted onto the ‘flat pack houses’ designed by Essent for their interactive experience
Lowland’s festival attendees offset a total of 37,821 kg of CO2 demonstrating, both the extent to which the green festival movement is now spreading across international borders, and the public’s enthusiasm to take responsibility and make a difference.
