BBC Springwatch Event
BBC’s Spring Watch is the largest festival of nature in the South and is held in Stamner Park, Brighton. Hosted by the one and only Bill Oddy, it is a fun family day out, encouraging public participation in order to teach people about important issues affecting our climate, like the recycling industry, food miles and permaculture. Activities range from wildlife workshops and building bird boxes through to woodcraft demonstrations using local timber. Firefly returns to BBC springwatch in 2009 to power the entire event on solar and pure plant oil power. Find out more about the event at their website.
