Lowlands Festival

Firefly have been commissioned by Essent Energy to power their display at Lowlands festival showcasing alternative means of energy production. Our solar arrays will be attached to the roofs of flat pack wooden houses and three Orions will be providing power for the whole area.


London Mela

The Firefly stage makes its debut at the London Mela, hosting 2009's incarnation of the classical stage. The mela is an event that strengthens communities by bringing people together in a festival atmosphere where everyone can enjoy food, music and dance. The London Mela has grown to be regarded, nationally and internationally, as the most significant event of its kind.


Big Chill

The Big Chill is high on the agenda for any festival goer and it’s easy to see why. With performances from David Byrne of Talking Heads fame and the newly reformed 90s legends Orbital and Lamb, anyone with a musical bone in their body will be tempted.


Brighton Pride Summer Festival Parade

Pride in Brighton & Hove promotes equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community. The pride parade is a colourful celebration with floats and soundsystems that sets off from Madeira Drive and ends up at Preston park.


Family Funday for VS Creative

Firefly are installing a pedal powered Pictor generator in the office as a precursor to their family fun day. On the day Firefly are supplying PA and lighting and are providing an Orion solar generator for the Badgecheck area which acts as the main entrance into the event.


Lewisham Peoples Day

2009 is the 25th anniversary of Lewisham People's Day, Lewisham’s longest running community event held every July in Mountsfield Park, Catford. This year promises to be the biggest and best ever!


Loop Festival

Loop Festival expands in 2009 to incorporate performances in the Brighton Dome & Corn Exchange as well as Victoria Gardens. The event headlines Squarepusher, Fever Ray & The Matthew Herbert Big Band. Firefly produce the site and infrastructure for the event bringing solar power as well as lighting, PA and Backline.


UK Energy Research Centre Annual Assembly

Firefly is providing a solar powered PA and lighting rig for the UK Energy Research Centre Annual Assembly held at the University of Sussex. The UK Energy Research Centre is the focal point for UK research on sustainable energy. The Centre's role is to promote cohesion within the overall UK energy research effort.


City of London Festival - Sweden on Stage

To mark the start of the Swedish EU Presidency on July 1st 2009, the Swedish Embassy in London has joined forces with the City of London Festival (and other partners) in presenting a series of exciting and innovative events in the capital. The Sweden on Stage event is the highlight of this collaboration.


Glastonbury Festival

Fresh from expanding renewable technology usage beyond the realm of the Green Fields, Firefly has been invited back to power and produce the Sensation Seekers Stage at Glastonbury. Nestled in a corner of the Theatre and Circus field expect to find quirky cabaret, group sing-a-longs and mass stage invasions where you can truly immerse yourself in the Glasto spirit.
